First Goodreads review:

If you love Gothic horror, horror in general, and historical fiction then I highly suggest reading this book. It does follow one of the characters of The Haunting Trilogy by the same author and it has some of the most remarkable character development that I have ever read in my entire life. It is captivating from the very get-go and you will not be able to put it down and it will give you an entirely new perspective on what evil really is and what is born from it. My favorite quote from this novella is:

"Fanaticism is the constant of human history; it is the true curse."

This story is DARK. If historical gothic horror on the high seas is your chalice of blood, then dive into this fast paced maritime tale of terror.

This is a 100 page horror novella. It is standalone but does involve characters from The Haunting Trilogy. It is the first book in an offshoot series.
